Women's Fitness & Nutrition

BIRTHFIT Milwaukee's Women's Fitness & Nutrition is for all women at any stage in their Motherhood Transition journey! This means if you are trying to conceive, pregnant, just had a baby, or have older kids, it is for YOU! All you have to want is to:

  • Feel better, have more energy and vitality

  • Cultivate a more positive relationship with food and employ new, sustainable nutrition strategies

  • Develop new competencies and physical skills through functional fitness to get stronger, add more muscle, lose fat, improve performance and recovery or diminish pain

  • Improve health markers

BIRTHFIT's definition of NUTRITION:

To cultivate a relationship with food that is rich in color and nutrients from a wide variety of animals, fish, plants, fruits, fats, and starchy tubers, while nourishing the body through the different rhythms of life and the female cycle.

In order to achieve that relationship, we’ll learn and discuss strategies that work for us as individuals, connect with ourselves and with fellow participants, and employ a mindset around nutrition that allows us to make decisions based on love, and not fear or shame. As women, many of us have complicated relationships with food and our bodies, sometimes leading to unproductive nutrition practices. In this course, we’ll learn the nuts and bolts of optimal nutrition, but go beyond that to truly find what works for you. This is not based on restriction or deprivation, or one-size-fits-all “rules.” Nutrition is not the same for everyone, and each person has unique goals and factors that impact what food works best for them. Instead, the idea is to learn about food, learn about what foods work best for their body, and create healthy habits that last a lifetime.

BIRTHFIT's definition of FITNESS:

To functionally train through the Motherhood Transition in all planes of motion to develop competencies and physical skills as well as enhance the main metabolic pathways.


To develop competencies and physical skills is not just for kicks. Fitness is crucial for living a vibrant, fun and pain-free life. This class will teach you intentional, functional movements concentrating on core strength and posterior chain activation. The best part is that all of the things you'll learn in THIS fitness class you will take with you for the rest of your life.

Times & Location

Saturdays from 9-10:30am
for 6 Weeks
starting October 5th and ending November 9th
BIRTHFIT Milwaukee Office
No need to bring any equipment, but if you have a yoga mat you'd like to use, feel free to bring it!
